Blue evening, Blue evening
The clouds are mountains. The mountains… mist
And faraway peach trees, have fruit in their branches
Flanneled-skinned fruit, the rare, colour of love

The sky rolls away softly, leaving the pebbles ringing
And even your blood, dissolves upon
the star-bruised edges of distant streets

Young women´s shadows, like laughing wine-dark puppets
come to whisper among rough bushes
and gather their washed white sheets
And now the day is a burning line in the sky
And girls sit in doorways, fading into the blue evening…

Night is a constant surprise. The moon steps into a puddle
A women steps into the moon, her white ankles laughing in pain
You stand on these deep blue roads, as if you were a cat on a wall
and nothing in the whole darkening world was worth a sniff

But sometimes, the blue of the air
wrings a confession out of you:
I cannot say anything now
nothing - not a word...
